Russia confirms selling 1.1m tons wheat to Pakistan

Russia has confirmed selling 1.1 million tons wheat to Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday, quoting its sources.
As per the arrangement, Russia will provide 0.7 million tons of wheat to the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) while Pakistan Agricultural Storage & Services Corporation (Passco) will buy 0.4 million tons of wheat from Russia.
Amid the surging wheat prices in Pakistan, there will be $40 per ton of transport charges on Russian wheat being imported. The sources further maintained that the Federal Food Ministry will brief the Economic Coordination Committee of the federal cabinet on this matter.
The sources maintained that the wheat prices in the international market after an increase of four dollars have reached $240 from $236 per ton.
