Another polio team beaten black and blue in Narowal

A day after a polio team was attacked in Okara, another group of polio vaccinators was beaten black and blue this time in Narowal city on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A local resident tortured polio workers in the suburban village of Budha Linga of Narowal while they were administering poliodrops to the children.

According to details, accused Asif started shouting and pounced on the polio workers namely Qaiser and Nusrat Bano while they were busy in their job in the above-said village.

The police later registered a case and arrested the accused.

On Friday, a polio team was also attacked in Madinah Town in the jurisdiction of Okara Saddr police station. One Ahmed alias Ladi tortured the polio team members for knocking at the door.

Okara District Police Officer (DPO) Mansoor Aman took notice of the incident and ordered registration of a case against the accused.

The police registered the case and started search for the accused who fled away after the incident.
