Pakistan conduct intensive training ahead of ICC Women World Cup clash with Australia

The Pakistan women’s cricket team on Tuesday held an extensive training session on the eve of their crucial ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 encounter against Australia at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The match is scheduled to take place on October 7 (tomorrow) at 2.30 pm local time.  

The session featured focused practice in batting, bowling, and fielding under the supervision of head coach Muhammad Wasim.

The players went through a well-structured training routine.

Bowling coaches Junaid Khan and Tahir Khan worked closely with the bowlers, guiding them through targeted drills to sharpen line, length, and variation in preparation for Australia’s formidable batting lineup.

Simultaneously, fielding coaches Abdul Saad and Asfandyar oversaw intensive fielding, catching, and physical training exercises.

These drills emphasized agility, coordination, and reaction time, with the players showing noticeable energy and enthusiasm throughout the session.

The comprehensive practice also included batting sessions where players focused on technique and strike rotation to counter the Australian bowling attack.

The team appeared confident and well-prepared as they concluded their final training before the big match.
