PIA, AirBlue, FlyJinnah hike Lahore-Karachi fare
Several airlines including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have increased the price of a one-way ticket on Lahore-Karachi route, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The move came after the cancellation of flight operation by Serene Air and the suspension of flight operation of Air Sial.
Now, Pakistan International Airlines is charging Rs60,760 for an urgent one-way ticket from Lahore to Karachi.
It is necessary to mention here that despite an increase in fare, no seats are available in the PIA flight from October 8 to October 18, 2025.
Fly Jinnah now charges Rs52,000 for an urgent one-way ticket between Lahore and Karachi, and Airblue is charging over Rs36,000 for one-way journey.
It is necessary to mention here that PIA operates two flights, Fly Jinnah three, and Airblue one daily to Karachi.
Serene Air halted its flight operations due to the unavailability of aircraft. Air Sial is facing a shortage after two of its aircraft were already grounded.
