ECC okays increase in dealers margin on petrol and diesel

The Economic Coordination Committee has approved an increase of Rs1. 64 per litre dealers' margin on petrol and Rs1.87 per litre on diesel.

The committee, which with caretaker finance minister Dr Shamshad Akhtar in the chair, constituted a committee for restructuring of the Pakistan International Airline (PIA).

It rejected the proposal to give a bailout package to the national airline.

It okayed a supplementary grant of Rs40 billion for various projects of defence services.
