ASP Sheharbano Naqvi earns global honour for police work
Brave cop nominated for Asia 21 Next Generation Fellowship 2025: IGP congratulates brave lady cop on international recognition
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASP) Sheharbano Naqvi has been nominated for the prestigious Asia 21 Next Generation Fellowship 2025, an initiative of the Asia Society recognising emerging leaders from across the world, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, ASP Naqvi was nominated in recognition of her outstanding contributions in providing security and dedicated services to the underprivileged and marginalised communities.
Her nomination marks a significant milestone, as she becomes the first female police officer from Pakistan to be selected for this global fellowship.
The Asia 21 Next Generation Summit is scheduled to take place in Manila, Philippines, from December 5 to 7, 2025.
The summit will feature selected leaders from 27 countries, where they will present strategies and recommendations to tackle current challenges facing men and women worldwide.
Inspector-General of Police Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar, congratulated ASP Sheharbano Naqvi on this international recognition.
He expressed pride in her achievements, stating that her leadership qualities reflect the potential of Pakistan’s police force on the global stage.
He further hoped that ASP Naqvi’s contributions would inspire the next generation of law enforcement leaders.
The Punjab Police spokesperson added that the Asia Society remains committed to connecting changemakers from diverse backgrounds and advancing leadership based on modern global standards.
