Flood-affected lady gives birth to baby during rescue operation

A woman has given birth to a baby in a flood-hit village in the suburb of Renala Khurd during a rescue operation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.  
According to the report, an affected woman suffered medical complications, and as soon as the information was received, CEO Health Dr Fawad Ahmed Iftikhar immediately reached the victims along with his staff.
The affected woman was shifted to the High School Field Hospital in Mapalke by ambulance.
A team of doctors at the field hospital performed a successful delivery in an emergency situation.
Both the newborn baby and the mother were declared healthy.
Dr Fawad Ahmed Iftikhar picked up the newborn and handed it over to the family.
The family of the affected woman thanked the health department team and offered their best wishes.
Joint efforts of the Pak Army, Rescue 1122, and health departments continued for the flood victims.
