SNGPL announces temporary gas suspension in Islamabad areas

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply to several areas of Islamabad due to the disconnection of a main gas pipeline near Khanna Pul, 24NewsHD TV reported.

According to an SNGPL notice, gas supply will remain suspended from 9 pm on Monday, September 7, until 5 am on Tuesday, September 8.

The affected areas include Ghauri Town to Faizabad East Service Road, Lehtrar Road from Khanna Pul to Burma Town, Sohan, Ghauri Town, Gulberg, Shakrial, Rehman Garden and adjoining areas.

SNGPL advised consumers in the affected areas to make alternative arrangements for the duration of the suspension.

The company also urged consumers to keep gas appliances switched off while the supply remains suspended to avoid any accident or safety hazard when gas service is restored.
