PM commends ISI for ‘brilliant’ arrest of most-wanted terrorist Shambay

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has showered loads of praise on country’s top intelligence agency,                                     Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), for nabbing founder of banned Balochistan National Army (BNP), Gulzar Imam alias Shambay, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a post uploaded on twitter on Saturday, the prime minister extended heartfelt felicitations to the ISI for carrying out a brilliant operation that resulted in the arrest of BNA’s founder.

Shehbaz Sharif said “This operation speaks of outstanding professionalism of our institutions. The arrest will help suppress militancy in Balochistan and usher in a new era of peace.”

It may be mentioned here that the National Security Committee meeting which met in Islamabad on Friday also greatly appreciated the arrest of most-wanted terrorist — Gulzar Imam alias Shambay.

Shambay is a hardcore militant as well as the founder and leader of the banned outfit Baloch National Army (BNA) which came into being after the amalgamation of the Baloch Republican Army (BRA) and United Baloch Army (UBA).

The BNA had been responsible for dozens of violent terrorist attacks in Pakistan including attacks on law enforcement agencies (LEAs) installations in Panjgur and Noshki.
