Oil tanker association expresses concern over rise in white pipeline quota

Oil Tankers Contractors Association President Abdullah Afridi expressed his deep concerns over the enhancement in quota and prices of white pipeline, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

In a letter addressed to Chairman Oil and Gas Development Corporation Limited (OGDCL) Abdullah Afridi said that Almighty Allah granted a great victory to Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, who averted a dangerous war.

Abdullah Afridi said that huge investments were made in oil tankers as per the standards of OGDCL, and after this, an accord was signed for the assignment of a 45 percent quota.

It was agreed to allot 55 percent quota to oil tankers, and we amended the same with consultations.

He said that the white pipeline quota was increased to 70 percent from April 1, 2026. He said that, as the supply quota has already decreased, there is no business activity.

He urged the government to resolve these issues on a priority basis, otherwise it will be difficult for them to maintain the fuel supply chain.
