Punjab appoints Dr Najma Ayaz Khan as provincial ombudsman for women

The Punjab government has appointed Dr. Najma Ayaz Khan as the provincial female ombudsman under the Protection of Women from Harassment Act, 2010.

An official notification regarding the appointment was issued by the Services and General Administration Department following approval from the provincial cabinet. According to the notification, Dr. Najma Ayaz Khan has assumed her responsibilities with immediate effect.

Her tenure has been set for a period of four years. The notification further stated that detailed terms and conditions of her appointment will be issued separately at a later stage.
