Punjab sports minister announces building stadium in Arshad Nadeem’s village

Punjab Minister for Sports Malik Taimoor Khan Monday announced starting immediately the construction of a stadium in the village of Arshad Nadeem, a javelin thrower of Pakistan who won gold medal in the Commonwealth Games, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
“Arshad Nadeem is a national hero, and I will welcome him myself,” the provincial sports minister said.
“A grand ceremony will be organised in honour of all the athletes who bagged medals in the Commonwealth Games, including Arshad Nadeem,” he announced.
“The entire nation is proud of Arshad Nadeem. Arshad Nadeem had earlier been given sports facilities. He will be given all possible facilities in future too,” he stated.
“The Punjab Sports Board will continue taking vigorous measures for the promotion of sports,” he vowed.
