Court extends interim bail of Qureshi, Asad Umar in May 9 cases

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore Tuesday extended the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders – Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar in six cases related to May 9 incidents, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

ATC judge Ejaz Ahmad Buttar conducted the hearing.

The court had called for arguments on interim bail to the PTI leaders at the hearing.

Police had nominated Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar and others in six cases registered on charges of arson and attack on Jinnah House and Askari Tower.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi was also accused of setting fire to a PML-N office in Model Town and a container in Gulberg.
