TV grab

Wary of the cruel torture by the influential persons and the nonchalant attitude of the police, a disabled person tried self-immolation by sprinkling petrol on himself in Chunian, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Reportedly, some influential people of Chunian subjected a disabled man, Muhammad Arshad, to severe torture in Allahabad.

Poor Arshad, who is deprived of his arms and legs, went to the police station to register his complaint against the wealthy perpetrators of torture but the law enforcers refused to lodge his complaint.

Dejected and feeling disgraced, the disabled man poured petrol on himself and tried to set himself on fire. However, people doused the fire and saved him.

The victim pleaded with the Kasur DPO and Chunian DSP to take notice of the incident and order the arrest of the culprits.

He accused Mushtaq, Ashraf, and five other unknown persons of torturing him.
