Pakistan dispatches another consignment of aid to Gaza

Pakistan has dispatched a consignment of humanitarian aid comprising of daily use commodities to Gaza. This aid shipment facilitated by National Disaster Management Authority in collaboration with relevant partners, comprised over eighteen hundred tonnes of supplies. 

The send-off ceremony was held at Islamabad International Airport today which was attended by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Ullah Tarar. This sustained support reflects Pakistan's resolute solidarity with the people of Gaza.

The government of Pakistan reaffirms its unwavering support for the creation of a sovereign, independent, viable Palestinian State based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. 

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar says two planes carrying hundred tons each of essential relief items including food supplies, dry ration and medication are being sent to war torn Gaza from Pakistan on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

He was addressing a ceremony organized in connection with the dispatching of 18th consignment to Gaza at Islamabad International Airport today. The Minister said the planes will land in Jordan and the humanitarian assistance will reach Gaza via land route.

He applauded the Al-Khidmat Foundation and leadership of Jammat-e-Islami for their contribution in dispatching aid to the people of Gaza subjected to the severe atrocities by Israeli occupation forces. Expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people, Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan will continue to raise the issue of Palestine at every international forum. He expressed concerns that Palestinians especially children are suffering greatly from starvation and malnutrition.
