A legislation will be introduced in Punjab Assembly next year aimed at making Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) an autonomous institution, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The Punjab government while preparing for the task had already got permission from Prime Minister Imran Khan for the purpose.

The Law Department has readied the draft bill according to which ACE’s name will be changed to Punjab Anti-Corruption Agency.

Punjab Anti-Corruption Agency will become a NAB-like institution. According to sources, the new Agency will take action against bureaucrats on its own.
