Legendary Adnan Sami in an interview with Bollywood Hungama took a trip down memory lane and shared his decade-old body transformation. 

The 130-kg weight loss stunned everyone – colleagues, friends, fans and followers. Even an immigration officer had trouble recognising the music maestro. 

Sunn Zara singer revealed that everyone faced trouble recognizing him. He shared the story of his journey to the US.

“I remember a few years ago when I was entering the United States and dealt with a problem concerning my identity. I had to search for my name on Google and show them my pictures online.

"There were all these articles about my weight loss too, so when they saw the before and after transformation photos, they were like, 'He is the same guy”, said Sami.

Adnan Sami said, "My determination was not that strong earlier. It was just a question of adapting yourself to a new lifestyle and luckily, I managed to keep it going. I just took baby steps.

 "I just had a rigorous diet, controlled my food intake and was very particular about what I was eating. Sometimes, when people ask, I laugh and say, 'It's a see-food diet. I also play squash, which is intense."

Adnan Sami said after the transformation his whole wardrobe had been changed but he still has some of his old clothes as a memory.
