Punjab CM Maryam leaves on her first official visit to China
Maryam Nawaz left Lahore for China on Sunday morning, on her first official visit to the country since taking office as the chief minister of Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Provincial Minister for Information Azma Bukhari, Provincial Minister for Transport Bilal Akbar Khan, Provincial Minister for Agriculture Ashiq Kirmani, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, secretary finance, secretary transport and secretary agriculture accompanied the chief minister.
During her eight-day stay in China, besides the capital Beijing, she will also visit Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
CM Maryam will meet CPC International Department Minister Liu Jianchao.
Later, a luncheon will be hosted in her honour.
The chief minister will also visit Shijitan Hospital where she will be briefed about the advancements made in China’s health sector.
Similarly, she will visit Beijing’s Municipal Commission of Transport, the Science Park and the IT institutes.
CM Maryam, during her stay, will also attend the exhibition of the items imported by China.
She will visit a primary school where she will be briefed about the system of education in the country.
The chief minister will attend the Punjab-China dinner and Punjab Investment Conference.
A visit to Huawei Technologies Factory is also part of the schedule of her tour.
Likewise, talks will be held on increasing cooperation between the PML-N and China’s ruling party.
