Rain turns weather chilly, snowfall in Murree attracts tourists to hill station

Snowfall and rain in Murree and its surrounding areas continues which attracted a large number of tourists to the hill station over the weekend, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

With temperatures dropping to 8 degrees Celsius, the chill intensified in Murree. The tourists were eager to witness the snowfall, thronged Murree and engaged in various activities on the famous Mall Road. Visitors enjoyed strolling, shopping, and savouring hot beverages amidst the festive atmosphere. The scenic views, combined with the excitement of snowfall, turned Murree into a hotspot for weekend getaways.

Snowfall also continues in the upper areas of Mansehra, Kaghan, Naran and Shogran Valley which has increased the severity of the cold. The temperature of Babu Sir top has dropped to minus 11, minus 4 in Kaghan Valley and minus three in Shogran. Due to the rain in the upper regions, the temperature in the plains also dropped to 10 degrees. 

Meanwhile, amid rise in chill, rain has been reported in various parts of Punjab while cloudy weather continue in various parts of the country including Lahore. Rain has been reported in Sahiwal district, Sher Garh in Narowal, Pattoki, Chunian and adjoining areas. 

Met office has predicted rain during the next 24hours. As a result of rain, air quality will improve in the country and there will be decline in seasonal maladies. 

Director General Provincial Disaster Management (PDM) has advised visitors to be careful during travel. He said civil administration was ready to facilitate tourists visiting Murree and adjoining areas. He said 13 facilitation centers have been set up in Murree for the help of the visitors.
