Bella Hadid and The Weeknd’s New York penthouse hits market for $35 million
The penthouse once shared by Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd and American supermodel Bella Hadid has officially hit the market for $35 million.
Known as Penthouse D, the Tribeca residence (a neighborhood in Lower Manhattan in New York City) spans 5,004 square feet and boasts four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a spacious open floor plan that seamlessly connects the kitchen and living areas.

A highlight of the home is its private top-floor terrace, which measures an impressive 1,000 square feet and includes a large lounge area and an outdoor kitchen, perfect for entertaining or enjoying panoramic views of New York City. The property is being listed in partnership with Jared Schwadron of Compass.

Abel Tesfaye, professionally known as The Weeknd, originally moved into the penthouse in 2018, living there with Hadid before extending his lease during the pandemic, even after their final breakup.
The couple’s on-and-off relationship was highly publicized; they first sparked dating rumors in April 2015 during the Coachella Music Festival and were later photographed holding hands that September. They confirmed their relationship publicly in February 2016, making their red carpet debut at the Grammy Awards, where The Weeknd won his first two Grammys.

Hadid spoke candidly about their relationship in a 2016 interview with Glamour, saying, “I’m dating Abel. I don’t see him as The Weeknd. I’m proud of The Weeknd and the music he makes, but I really love Abel.”
The couple split for the first time later that year, after which The Weeknd dated singer Selena Gomez.

They reunited briefly in 2018 but ultimately ended their relationship in August 2019. Reflecting on the challenges of their public breakups, Hadid told Teen Vogue in 2017, “Love hurts, but you have to pull through. But I’ll always respect him, and I’ll always love him… you never want to burn a bridge that you’ve fought so hard to build.”
In recent news, Hadid has moved on and went public with her current boyfriend, Adan Banuelos, in February 2024.
