Karachi triple death case takes new turn as police register murder case against unknown suspects

The investigation into the mysterious deaths of a mother, daughter, and daughter-in-law in Karachi has taken a significant turn, as police have now registered a murder case against unknown suspects, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.

Officials confirmed that an FIR has been filed at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Police Station under murder charges, with the case registered on behalf of the state. The FIR names unknown suspects, as investigators have yet to find any evidence identifying the perpetrator.

Earlier observations suggested the women may have died due to suffocation caused by a suspected gas leak, but the direction of the investigation shifted when police detained the head of the household, Iqbal, for questioning. His brother Aslam has also recorded his statement.

According to police sources, Aslam claimed he did not know about Iqbal’s son’s marriage or employment, raising further questions about the circumstances leading up to the incident.

The tragedy came to light on Sunday when the three women were discovered dead inside their flat in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 1. Despite initial theories, officials say the case remains shrouded in mystery, and the final post-mortem reports will be crucial in determining the exact cause of death.

Aslam has collected the bodies from the Chhipa morgue, with funeral prayers offered at a mosque in Lines Area. The women will be laid to rest at Mewa Shah Cemetery, rescue officials said.
