59 more patients succumbed to coronavirus in Pakistan

Pakistan reported 1,037 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours (Sunday), the latest data from the National Command and Control (NCOC) shows.

There were 59 more causalities related to the deadly disease as death toll due to coronavirus has reached 12,026 that represents a ratio of 2.2%.

According to the latest figures, 1,037 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 32,149 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 555,511 that returned positive after conducting 8,224,869 total tests so far.

The number of active cases in the country has reached 31,983 with 1,828 patients in critical condition.

There were 1,260 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 511,502 with a 92.2% recovery rate.

Punjab

Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 355 new cases in last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 160,935 with 8,350 active cases. In Punjab, 20 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 4,900. With 570 new recoveries, 147,685 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.

Sindh

The most affected province Sindh has recorded 399 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 251,047 with 19,370 active cases. In Sindh, 32 more patients died of the deadly disease as the death toll reached 4,119. With 410 new recoveries, 227,558 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 193 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 68,531 with 2,462 active cases. The province reported 5 new virus-related deaths as the death toll reached 1,957. With 159 new recoveries, 64,112 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Balochistan

Balochistan has recorded another 10 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 18,869 with 92 active cases. The province reported no new death as the death toll remained at 196. With 21 new recoveries, 18,581 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Islamabad

Islamabad has recorded 60 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 41,994 with 1,273 active cases. With 2 new deaths reported in the Federal Capital as the virus death toll reached 480. With 81 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 40,241 in the federal capital so far.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 20 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 9,219 with 417 active cases. With no new death reported, the death toll remains at 272. There were 19 new recoveries in the AJK as 8,530 patients have recovered so far from the virus.

Gilgit-Baltistan

Gilgit-Baltistan recorded one new case during the last 24 hours, as the tally reaches 4,916 with 19 active cases. No new death reported in the province, the death toll remains at 102. There were no new recoveries reported as well as patients recovered from the deadly disease remained at 4,795.
