Medical colleges in Lahore abolish quota for students of other provinces

Top government medical colleges in Lahore have abolished the admissions quota for students of other provinces of the country.
The King Edward Medical College University, Allama Iqbal Medical College University and Fatima Jinnah Medical College University have abolished the quota for students of other provinces and added this quota to the open merit category. After abolition of quota, the Fatima Jinnah Medical College University has added 47 seats to the open merit category, King Edward Medical College University eight (8), Allama Iqbal Medical College University nine (9), SIMS 18 and Ameeruddin Medical College three.
Abolition of admissions quota for students of other provinces will benefit students of Punjab.
