Fake ‘peer’ hammers nail into pregnant woman’s skull in Peshawar

A fake peer Monday injured a pregnant woman after hammering a nail into her head, who expressed to have a male offspring due to her husband’s desire in KPK’s capital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
After the incident, the woman was rushed to Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) where neurosurgeon Dr Haider confirmed that she was pregnant and had suffered a severe head injury. Through surgery, the nail was removed from her head.
Dr Haider further stated that the woman claimed she wanted a son because her husband did not like daughters which is why she went to the peer.

CCPO Abbas Ahsan taking notice of the woman's photos going viral on social media and directed SP City Atiq Shah to trace the victim and alleged fake agent.
According to the LRH administration, the woman was brought to the hospital for medical treatment a few days ago.
The administration kept the police unaware of the incident and an inquiry has been directed after the news surfaced on social media.
