Singer and actress Meesha Shafi on Tuesday challenged the arrest warrant issued by Judicial Magistrate District at Lahore’s sessions Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Earlier, Meesha had filed an application in Judicial Magistrate District Court for grant her leave in which she stated that due to her son being ill, she would not be able to appear before the court. But, the court dismissed Meesha’s petition and issued an arrest warrant. 

After which Meesha challenged the decision under the hearing of Additional District and Sessions, Judge Rai Yasin Shaheen, in the Sessions Court and appealed for annulment of the orders of the arrest.

Pertinent to note that the court has summoned the lawyers for discussing the matter on February 9.
