Nawaz Sharif denies making any deal with military

PML-N Quaid and former three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif denied that he had made any deal with the military to rule. "Actually I have never had any problems with the military," he said.

The former prime minister said that one party must get the majority in the parliament as it is imperative to solve the raft of problems the country is facing today, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to newsmen after casting his vote in Lahore along with Maryam Nawaz, the PML-N Quaid said it’s absolutely necessary that one party must get majority.

Responding to a question, Nawaz Sharif said “For God’s sake, don’t mention coalition government.”

The former prime minister said “We have come to this after rendering numerous sacrifices and Maryam Nawaz has worked very hard for the party.”

Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz cast their vote at a polling station of NA-128 located in Model Town but interestingly they did not stamp the “lion” – the election symbol of Nawaz League.

Both PML-N leaders stamped on “uqab” (eagle) – the election symbol of Intehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) whom with the PML-N had seat adjustment understanding.
