Pacer Ali Raza named in ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 team of the tournament

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026 Team of the Tournament, with Pakistan fast bowler Ali Raza earning a place among the world’s standout young talents, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.

The selected team featured 12 players who had delivered exceptional performances throughout the tournament.

England captain Thomas Rew has been named skipper of the side, also serving as wicketkeeper, while his compatriots Manny Lumsden and Ben Mayes have also been included.

Tournament champions India contributed three players to the team, including teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who produced a remarkable performance in the final by scoring 175 runs off just 80 balls, one of the standout innings of the competition.

Ali Raza emerged as the only Pakistani player selected in the Team of the Tournament.

The right-arm pacer claimed 13 wickets during the World Cup at an impressive average of 13.92, marking him as Pakistan’s most effective bowler in the event.

The Team of the Tournament was selected by an experienced ICC panel, based on players’ overall influence, match-winning contributions, and consistency throughout the competition.
