Security Forces have arrested key member of banned Baloch Yakjehti Committee's and three other terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur area of Balochistan on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
DIG CTD and Additional Chief Secretary Interior Hamza Shafqat briefed the media of the operation’s details in a news conference in Quetta.
DIG CTD said that terrorist Sajid was shifting weapons from Panjgur to Turbat when security forces nabbed him.
He said that the terrorist Sajid was a graduate of the International Islamic University of Islamabad. He was currently teaching at the University of Turbat. DIG CTD said that terrorist Sajid was playing a central role in spreading content of banned organizations on social media.
Additional Chief Secretary Interior Hamza Shafqat told media that in order to counter terrorism in the Balochistan, new department NAFTEC has been constituted which will be made operational by the end of the March 2026.
Hamza Shafqaat said that entire Balochistan has been turned into A areas from B areas. He said during the last three months, remarkable decline was witnessed in terror incidents. He said during one year, more than 90,000 operations were carried out and resultantly over 700 terrorists were killed.
