ANF seizes over 24kg of drugs, arrests six in multi-city operations

Pakistan's Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested six suspected drug traffickers and seized more than 24 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs3 million during a series of coordinated operations carried out across the country, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to the report, the crackdown targeted drug smuggling attempts through airports as well as other locations in different cities.

At Islamabad International Airport, ANF officials recovered 2.026 kilograms of crystal meth (Ice) from the luggage of a passenger attempting to board a flight to Jeddah. The suspect was arrested.

In another airport operation at Faisalabad International Airport, authorities arrested a passenger bound for Bahrain after recovering 878 grams of crystal meth (Ice) from the individual's baggage.

Meanwhile, near the Northern Bypass in Peshawar, ANF recovered 14.4 kilograms of opium from a vehicle and arrested the suspect. In a separate operation near University Road, Peshawar, officials seized 5 kilograms of hashish from another suspect.

Further action was taken near Galotian Mor in Sialkot district, where ANF recovered 1.2 kilograms of hashish from a motorcyclist.

In another raid near Custom Chowk, Peshawar, officials seized an additional 1.2 kilograms of hashish and arrested another suspect.
