Funds for Punjab CM Secretariat to be enhanced by 3pc in budget

It has been proposed to enhance the budget of the Punjab Governor and Chief Minister’s secretariats in the provincial budget 2022-23.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the funds for expenditures of the Punjab Chief Minister's Secretariat will increase 3 percent in the proposed budget.

The channel report said that in the last CM Buzdar government, this budget was just Rs780 million but now it has been proposed to allocate Rs805 million.

Most of the budget has been set for the salaries of the officers and other staff of the CM Secretariat. A good amount of the budget has also been allocated for protocol and other administrative matters too.

For the expenses of the Punjab Governor’s Secretariat, it is proposed to allocate a 9 percent additional budget. Funds of Rs46 million were allocated for Governor’s Secretariat in the last budget but now it has been proposed Rs580 million.
