Govt to build baseball stadium, volleyball complex in Lahore by 2028
The Punjab government has decided to elevate Lahore's sports infrastructure by constructing a state-of-the-art baseball stadium and a dedicated volleyball complex, with both projects scheduled for completion by 2028.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the Sports Board Punjab has proposed a budget allocation of Rs. 10 crore in the upcoming fiscal year for each of these two mega projects.
According to official sources, the total estimated cost of each facility stands at Rs400 million. Once funding is approved, the development work is expected to kick off, with the aim of turning Lahore into a regional hub for baseball and volleyball over the next few years.
Additionally, the Sports Board has earmarked Rs25 million for the construction of volleyball courts within the Nishtar Park Sports Complex, further strengthening Lahore's position as a growing center for indoor and outdoor sports.
