Speaker Ayaz Sadiq unveils National Assembly schedule for Federal Budget 2025-26

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has officially approved the session schedule for the presentation and debate of the federal budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Sunday.

According to the approved timeline, the federal budget will be presented in the National Assembly on June 10. The House will not hold sessions on June 11 and 12, allowing members time to review the budget documents.

The debate on the budget will commence on June 13, with parliamentary parties allotted time in accordance with National Assembly rules and procedures, the Speaker confirmed.

The discussion is set to continue through June 21, culminating with the formal conclusion of the budget debate on the same day. The Assembly will again pause proceedings on June 22.

On June 23, the House will deliberate on the charged expenditures for the upcoming fiscal year. This will be followed by discussions, deduction motions, and voting on demands and grants on June 24 and 25.

The Finance Bill 2025-26 will be passed on June 26, marking a key step in the budget approval process. Finally, supplementary grants and other financial matters will be discussed and voted on June 27.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq noted that any changes to the schedule will only be made with the Speaker's approval, ensuring order and consistency throughout the budget process.
