Three killed, 12 injured in M-5 Motorway crash near Ghotki

The joyous occasion of Eid turned into unbearable sorrow for several families in Yakiwali village of Alipur tehsil, after a devastating road accident on Motorway M-5 near Ghotki claimed three lives and left 12 others injured, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Sunday.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred when a truck collided with a Mazda van, causing a horrific scene on the highway. The deceased have been identified as Mazhar, Zulfiqar, and Bilal, all residents of Yakiwali.

Rescue teams shifted the injured to nearby hospitals, while the bodies of the deceased were transported back to their native village, where an overwhelming atmosphere of mourning took hold.

Witnesses described heart-wrenching scenes as the families broke down upon seeing the bodies of their loved ones, their Eid celebrations cruelly replaced with the rituals of grief.
