PDM's long march to reach capital on March 30 as plan unveiled

The Pakistan Democratic Movement PDM’s special committee formed for the long march has proposed Long March to start on March 26 from Karachi and reach capital territory on March 30, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

“The sit-in will continue until the goal is achieved,” the Special Committee of PDM, an 11-party opposition alliance including PMLN-PPP, ANP recommendations said.

The special committee has prepared the recommendations that the long march will start on March 26 with a public gathering from Karachi and all rallies will reach on March 30 at 3 pm in Islamabad.

Sources said a central camp will be set up in Faizabad to welcome all the rallies of PDM along with camps to be set up at Rawat Chowk, Chowki No 26, Coca-Cola Factory and Bara Kahu.

It has been recommended that all parties should bring more and more number of workers in the Long March.

All parties will organise their processions separately and will bear their own costs.

PDM’s Special Committee recommended PDM senior leadership should immediately visit the four provinces.

It has been prospered to formulate a joint strategy to mobilize the people for the long march and immediately various committees include a control room, media committee publicity committee, reception committee, Security Committee, Facilities Committee, Legal Committee, Finance Committee, Program Committee, Food Committee and Medical Committee.

The Special Committee for PDM said arrangements should be made before the participants arrive at the sit-in site.

The opposition alliance special committee for the long march recommended the PDM leader to contact traders, farmers and trade unions and fully mobilized them.

PDM meeting

A meeting of PDM bigwigs will be held in Islamabad today (Monday) at 2 pm under the chair of JUI-F supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The meeting is expected to approve the names of joint candidates for Chairman and Deputy Chairman Senate.
