PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari Wednesday claimed that the no-confidence motion would be a success by getting far more than 172 required votes.

He told the media persons that you want to know the exact numbers and he can even not give the names but assured that the no-confidence motion will be a success with an overwhelming majority claiming that even the PTI members are unhappy with the government and would support the opposition.

PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said journalism is the main part of the democracy. He said PPP was working for media freedom since its inception.

He also gave the good news to the journalists by revealing that senior journalist Hamid Mir has been reinstated and also initiated a clap to applaud the move.

Zardari said they have consulted each other and reached the consensus that not a single party can pull out Pakistan from its current misery.

He said the opposition has considered that it was the right time to bring the no-confidence motion.

He said they have decided to join hands and also invited other parties to join them to work together for the betterment of the country.

Zardari said the way they had made the 1989 no-trust motion a failure, they would make it a success this time.

Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and PPP co-chair Asif Ali Zardari held an important joint press conference in Islamabad to announce "decisions" regarding the no-confidence motion against the government.

Opposition leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif Tuesday claimed that the inflation reached a record high as the incumbent government had destroyed the economy of the country.

He said the government has taken record loans and have put the future of the next generations at stake as well.

He said the opposition alliance had decided yesterday to submit the no-confidence motion today and all the parties kept it secret.

He said the current government has only remained busy in putting the plaques on the projects initiated by the previous PML-N government.

Shehbaz also criticised the government’s foreign policy saying the government has made Pakistan isolated by angering the friendly countries including China and Saudi Arabia.

He said the latest speech of PM Imran Khan has put Pakistan at odds against the European Union despite the fact that Pakistan has billions of dollars trade associated with the EU countries.

Shehbaz also counted the projects of the PTI government that are being shrouded in the veils of corruption.

He said the government has made it hard for a common person to live. He said PML-N, PPP and JUI-F are all on the same page.

He termed the government claim of an international conspiracy behind the opposition’s no-confidence motion as childish one saying their own performance is enough for their downfall.

JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman said they never accepted the general election 2018 results and they were struggling since day one against the illegitimate government.

Fazl termed the arrival of PM Khan to power corridors as a result of interference of foreign hands with an agenda to spread vulgarity in the society.

He said the no-confidence motion is the continuation of Azadi March, PPP’s Awami March and all other such anti-government movements.

He said the PTI has deceived the masses with false promises. He claimed that the previous government left the economy in a healthy state which was destroyed by the current government.

He said PM Khan was trying to hoodwink the masses by taking against the USA and the European Union whereas the reality is totally different.

"We have submitted the no-confidence motion in the NA secretariat. Their days are numbered," he exclaimed, adding that the government "deceived" the nation.

Fazl also castigated the premier for "threatening and cursing" at opposition leaders during a recent public gathering.

He continued that the opposition did not have an "enmity" with anyone and only had a difference of opinion which should be discussed in a "political and democratic" manner.

"We are standing with the country, the Constitution and with democracy. We want to make Pakistan stable. We have no enmity with any institution, but when it comes to disagreeing with their decisions and behaviour, we disagreed openly and with respect.

"There is no enmity with anyone but we have to take the country forward," he reiterated.
