Punjab education minister vows to control cheating in exams
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat is paying daily visits to examination centres to eliminate cheating mafias, bribery, nepotism, and private institutions manipulating board results, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
The strict measures have shown results, with public school students securing top positions in last year’s matric exams.
Additionally, Education Minister set an example by enrolling his son in a government school, challenging the status quo.
Fatima Qamar of the Pakistan National Language Movement has praised the minister’s efforts and urged him to introduce Urdu as the medium of instruction at all levels, arguing it would make education more accessible, engaging, and beneficial for national identity.
