CM Sohail Afridi elevates Muzzammil Aslam as KP’s finance minister

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi elevated the status of Advisor to Chief Minister on Finance Muzzammil Aslam to provincial minister for finance, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

“In exercise of powers conferred under clause 9 of Article 130 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is pleased to grant the status of Provincial Minister to Muzzammil Aslam, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance, with immediate effect,” a notification issued stated.

The post of minister is essential to participation in the National Finance Commission (NFC).

Muzzammil Aslam is from Karachi and served as an advisor to the chief minister on finance under former chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

He was given the same portfolio when Sohail Afridi replaced Gandapur as the CM.
