A five-year-old child Sunday succumbed to dog-bite wounds, as she was not given an anti-rabies vaccine, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Umm-e-Aabeeha was bitten by a stray dog while playing outside.

The innocent girl died in the arms of her parents.

Parents asked the Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Punjab to notice the horrific incident.

The victim's father said the doctor at the DHQ hospital said there was no vaccine, adding that he also contacted the hospitals of Rawalpindi, where there were also shortages of shots.
