DC Islamabad chairs meeting to review emergency measures

Islamabad Deputy Commissioner, Irfan Memon chaired an emergency meeting of the location administration which was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners and Magistrates. To review emergency measures after Indian aggression on Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During the meeting, DC was told that emergency sirens have been placed on the tallest buildings across the city. Shelters have been set up for victims. A 24/7 control room has been set up in the Safe City Complex to monitor emergency situation. 

Deputy Commissioner, Irfan Memon was briefed that hospitals remain alert to meet emergency situation and blood donation camps have been set up. 

The market committee has assured the administration that enough vegetables, pulses, and other important items are in stock. Petrol stations also have extra fuel availability. 

The young people are being trained as volunteers to help during any crisis.

The Deputy Commissioner said that all officers should stay in the field. He also appealed to the citizens to call the control room in case of any emergency and not believe any unconfirmed news.
