A special judicial magistrate in Rawalpindi on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for not appearing before Anti-Corruption Establishment in connection with a corruption inquiry, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A police party from Rawalpindi has been dispatched to Kohisar Police Station in Islamabad for arresting the interior minister.
According to procedure, the arrest warrants will be processed after informing the local police.
However, 24News TV channel reported that so far no one has contacted the Kohisar Police Station in this regard.

However, Rawalpindi RPO Imran Ahmar said no team was dispatched to arrest anyone. This case is related to anti-corruption and Punjab police have nothing to do with it, he added.
Meanwhile, the Kohisar police station SHO refused to comply with the warrants issued to arrest Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.
Sources informed that the SHO contended that the warrants contained an address from Faisalabad. He insisted that neither Sanaullah was a resident of Kohisar vicinity nor did he set up any office here.
Sources further said that the arrival and going back of the anti-corruption establishment team did not come under the jurisdiction of Kohisar police station.
The anti-corruption team was carrying incomplete arrest warrants, they added.
Sources said the team left the area and went back.

In her tweet posted on Saturday, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said: “Rana Sanaullah's arrest warrant was issued out of the fear that Imran Khan is going to be arrested. It’s a conspiracy to spread chaos, disruption and disorder to divert the attention from the corruption of a foreign agent and liar who is playing with the national security and fooling the people. Preparations are being made to attack the Federation on the orders of Imran Khan.”
