Rejecting the application filed by Aleema Khan, the sister of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, for an exemption from appearance in the court today, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Wednesday issued bailable arrest warrants for her in the November 26 protest case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Later, the court adjourned the case’s hearing until October 11.
Aleema is expected to be indicted on that day.
Her lawyers Muhammad Faisal and Hasnain Sumbal appeared in the court.
Speaking on the occasion, Prosecutor Zaheer Shah said that since Aleema’s lawyers did not have the power of attorney, therefore, under section 22, they could not give arguments in the case.
