Punjab govt sets compensation limit for animal loss in flood at Rs1 million

The Punjab government has set the compensation limit for loss of animals in the flood at Rs1 million, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to sources, the Punjab government will pay livestock farmers only for the death of two animals. The compensation for animals will be Rs500,000 each.

The Punjab government has also approved setting a compensation limit for the death of animals.

The government will not pay any compensation for the death of more than two animals.

A total of 7,293 animals have died in the flood so far.

According to the survey conducted so far, 5,789 large and 1,504 small animals have died.

Before the survey, the number of animal deaths was 1,560.

The decision was taken to stop exaggeration in the news.
