Bollywood celebrities thronged to Akshay Kumar’s home to express condolence on the demise of his mother. 

According to Indian media reports, Akshay Kumar’s mother passed away this morning. His family and friends attended the last rites. Following the sudden demise of Akshay’s mother Aruna Bhatia, the actor’s family and friends from the industry attended the last rites at a crematorium in Mumbai. 

Along with Akshay Kumar, daughter Nitara and family, seen attending the funeral were celebrities like Karan Kapadia, Vipul Shah, Riteish Deshmukh, Rohit Shetty, Sajid Khan, Ramesh Taurani, and others.

From Ajay Devgn to Salman Khan, celebrities offered prayers for Aruna Bhatia on social media. Aruna Bhatia had not been doing well for some time now. She breathed her last at Mumbai's Hiranandani Hospital.

Akshay took to Instagram to share the sad news with his fans and friends. His post reads, “She was my core. And today I feel unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got united with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers I and my family go through this period.”
