The National Cybercrime Investigation Agency on Monday registered a case against Advocate Imaan Mazari and her husband Advocate Hadi Ali Chattha under sections 9, 10, 11 and 26-A of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) for posting anti-state comments on social media, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Also on Monday, a court in Islamabad granted pre-arrest bail to both lawyers until September 11, and sought a reply from the Agency.   

As per the text of the FIR, there is an allegation against Imaan that she whipped up linguistic hatred through her posts on a social media platform, X, held the establishment is responsible for missing persons in KP and Balochistan and terrorism by accusing it of having links with banned outfits and questioning its capacity to combat the BLA and the TTP.
