Three dacoits killed in police encounters in Lahore, Obaro
Three dacoits were dead after receiving severe gunshots during a police encounters in Lahore and another accused was arrested in an injured condition in Obaro, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The police encounter took place in Heer area of Lahore. Police said that Majid was riding a motorcycle when a CCD Defence team signalled him to stop, but instead he started firing on the police party.
During heavy exchange of fire, the accused died by the firing of his own accomplices.
Later, the police shifted the dead body of the accused to the local hospital’s mortuary for autopsy.
The second police encounter took place in Batapur area of Lahore when two accused Shehnawaz and Imran died by the firing of his companions. The accused was riding in a motorcycle when a Crime Con troll Department (CCD) team signaled him to stop but he opened fire on the police team.
During the firing, both accused died. Later police shifted the dead bodies to Mayo Hospital’s mortuary for post-mortem.
In another police encounter in Obaro, one accused was arrested due to an injured condition, and police recovered arms from his possession.
According to the details, the police received credible information that the four accused were present at the Sunan Shakh area for dacoity.
When the police reached the spot, the dacoits started firing on the police party. During the exchange of fire, the police arrested one accused who was identified as Mehar Din resident of the Kutcha area.
The police also called more police. Other accomplices of the accused escaped from the scene.
The police also started a search operation to arrest the culprits.
