Police arrest PTI leader Ejaz Khan Jazi from Rawalpindi

Police raided Ababeel House in Rawalpindi and arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former member of the provincial assembly (MPA) Ejaz Khan Jazi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The Ababeel House is located on College Road in Rawalpindi. The PTI leader was taken into custody from his office inside the Ababeel House.  

Police also arrested the brother of the former vice president of Insaf Youth Wing Punjab, Malik Faisal Awan.

Earlier, on September 6, 2026, police arrested ex-federal minister and former prime minister Imran Khan’s close aide Hammad Azhar from Multan.

Hammad Azhar served as the federal minister for revenue and later as finance minister in Khan’s government. 

Azhar was involved in several cases related to the May 9, 2023 riots, when angry Khan supporters attacked military installations and government buildings across Pakistan in response to his brief arrest on corruption allegations.
