Khaqan Abbasi counsels Imran Khan to resign before voting to save grace

April 9, 2022 10:46 AM

The former prime minister and PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has advised Prime Minister Imran Khan to tender his resignation even one minute before the tabling of no-confidence motion.

Talking to 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday, the former premier asked Imran Khan if he wanted to avoid no-trust move against him, he could resign before it was laid before the house for voting.

“If he (Imran) hands in his resignation even one minute before the voting then he can avoid the disgrace of no-confidence motion,” Abbasi counseled the embattled premier whose defeat seems obvious as the opposition has got support of enough MNAs to oust Imran.

Bantering further, Abbasi said it’s good for Imran Khan to stay home and take rest. He said if Imran had any life threats then we would provide him full security.
