Arms worth Rs150m missing from warehouses of Faisalabad Police
A three-member fact-finding committee was constituted to identify persons involved in the illegal removal of weapons lying at various warehouses of Faisalabad Police, reported 24HD News Channel on Wednesday.
According to details, 10 faculty SMGs worth Rs7 million and 10 non-functional SMGs worth Rs2.5 million were found missing from different warehouses of Faisalabad Police Stations.
Sources revealed that some valuable guns were replaced by faulty, non-functional guns.
During checking, it was found that a semi-gun worth Rs250,000 was replaced with tempered semi-guns.
Five 12-bore guns valuing Rs2,50,000 and six non-functional guns were found missing. The price of guns was Rs300,000.
A 38-bore revolver valued at Rs3,00,000 went missing. Two Beretta pistols worth Rs 800,000 and two MP-5 funds were also found missing.
As many as 1000 guns were also found faulty during the checking process.
