Australia, Canada, Uzbekistan commend Pakistan’s mediatory role
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has thanked his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese for his endorsement of Pakistan's sincere efforts for peace, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a post on his X handle on Thursday, the Prime Minister said we will continue to work tirelessly with our friends and partners in our shared pursuit of lasting peace in the region.

Canada ready to support Islamabad talks
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Canada, Anita Anand has reiterated that Canada stands ready to support Islamabad talks.
In a post on her X handle on Thursday, she said over the last few days, she had spoken several times with her Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar to discuss the evolving situation in the Middle East, in which he shared that new negotiations will take place later this week.
Anita Anand thanked Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for Pakistan's continued efforts including its role in helping secure the current two-week ceasefire.
The Canadian Foreign Minister said we also agreed on the need for the ceasefire to hold and extend to Lebanon, and to remain in close contact as discussions move forward.

Dar, Uzbek FM discuss latest developments
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held telephonic conversation with Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov to discuss the latest developments in Middle East and the wider region.
The Uzbek Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s leadership and conveyed his country's full support for all initiatives undertaken by Pakistan in pursuit of peace and stability, especially in securing the initial two-week ceasefire.
Both expressed hope that these continued efforts and engagements will foster lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.
