US-Iran truce victory of diplomacy: Pakistan envoy
Pakistan's Ambassador to the US Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has described US-Iran ceasefire, mediated by Pakistan, a victory of diplomacy and dialogue, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
In an interview with CNN, Rizwan Saeed highlighted that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts had been ongoing for several weeks, culminating successfully with the announcement of a ceasefire and negotiations.
The ambassador expressed gratitude that all parties placed their trust in Pakistan. The envoy said Pakistan has always prioritized constructive diplomacy throughout its history.
Rizwan Saeed said the authority to make decisions rests with the respective parties, emphasizing Pakistan is merely a facilitator, and it is making efforts with complete honesty.
He maintained peace and stability will have a positive impact not only on the Gulf but also on global politics and the economy.
